A LONG WEEKEND IN PINOT NOIR COUNTRY

The Willamette Valley, Oregon’s leading wine region, has two-thirds of the state’s wineries and vineyards. It is home to more than 500 wineries. It is recognized as one of the premier Pinot noir producing areas in the world.

Buffered from Pacific storms on the west by the Coast Range, the valley follows the Willamette River north to south for more than a hundred miles from the Columbia River near Portland to just south of Eugene. To the east, the Cascade Range draws the boundary between the Willamette Valley’s misty, cool climate and the drier, more extreme climate of eastern Oregon.

WINE TASTING

You can't visit Willamette Valley without tasting some of the finest produced wines in the world. There are so many levels of not only wine, but also experiences. We'll find the right level for you and your Family & Friends. Through the years, we have worked to uncover those rich layers that the valley has to offer.

You will experience some of our favorite Winery and Vineyard Tours, Crush and of course, Tastings. Most of the wines produced in the Willamette Valley never leave the valley. These are wines you won't find in your local wine store. We like to focus on these small lots of wines made from up and coming wine makers.

You will see some of the most beautiful wineries, both classic to ultra contemporary. You'll visit Wineries that are large and those that are small but plentiful. Over the years, we have established relationships with these wineries in order to not only showcase their craft, but also to make your experience rich and full.

There will certainly be wines that you fall in love with and will be able to purchase directly from the wineries. We will take care of all those details and get your wines shipped directly to your home so you don't have to.

FLAVORS

The food is a big part of any travel experience. We like to dive into the local ingredients and buy organic using the best ingredients possible. As a Chef, the goal is to marry particular ingredients together and get the heck out of the way. We let those flavors shine by keeping it simple!

It is always fun to travel and visit some of the great local restaurants. At the same time, it is draining to have every meal out too. We look to balance that for you and to give you the best of both worlds.

Each morning, we'll have a delightful breakfast ready for you on your waking schedule. For lunch, you'll be on the go in the valley. There are some great spots to take a break for a bite to eat. After a long day, it's nice to shut it down back at the house. Those nights, dinner will be prepared by your private chef. We like to keep it fun with family style preparations and great flavor combinations. Whether that is served at the outside table or the dining room table, those evenings are always special, full of Food, Family/Friends, Stories, and Laughter. The best part is that you and your party do not need to do anything other than just enjoy each others company.

We certainly can accommodate any dietary restrictions that anyone in your party requires - it's not a problem!

We adore the different restaurants the valley has to offer and know them well. One evening during your trip, you will be able to enjoy that experience too. We'll arrange all the details and drive you there and back. We will take care of all the coordination with the restaurant including settling the bill so you don't have to.

Experiences come in many forms. Most can be orchestrated and some spontaneously happen when surrounded by the right people.

We believe in both!

EXPERIENCES

In addition to visiting the incredible wineries, there are many ways to experience Willamette Valley. Over the years, we have narrowed down the very best experiences and have established relationships with the locals who provide these unforgettable experiences. We are excited to share them with you.

During a long weekend trip to Willamette Valley, we have found it's nice to add in one (1) experience during that time to break-up the schedule. Here are three great ways to see the valley from a different perspective

HIKING TO THE FALLS

After a hearty early breakfast, we'll travel 19.6 miles to Silver Falls State Park.

The park claims 10 waterfalls, many of which are more than 100 feet high, and the legendary Trail of Ten Falls links them all. Mossy, wet caverns give you a behind-the-falls photo op.
The hiking is at a Moderate Level of difficulty.  It's 7.2 miles to hit all 10 falls in a big loop.

From there, after celebrating the hike, we'll travel back to Willamette Valley for afternoon leisure at some wineries.

Total Time: 5 Hours

HELICOPTER WINE TOUR DAY

This experience is definitely seeing the wine valley from a whole different perspective - by helicopter.

One of the days, you'll be loaded into a helicopter and literally be whisked away to one of the neighboring valley's to not only see the beautiful scenery, but also visit some wonderful wineries by landing right in their back yard.  This is wine tasting in style!

After having lunch and seeing a couple more wineries, the helicopter will fly over some of the most beautiful landscapes of Oregon.

What a day this is!

Total Time: 3 Hours

BIKE TOUR WITH THE VINEYARDS

Biking Willamette Valley is a great way to start the day.

To beat the valley heat, the guided tour will begin early in the morning, starting from the house.  The bikes will be prepped and ready to go for the trip. Everything that you will need will be provided.

Riding along side of all the vineyards gives a slower perspective and you will always stumble onto something unexpected.

It is a 18 mile ride that finishes where you began, at the house.  Once you return, a spread of breakfast delights will be ready to eat as you share all the stories from the bike trip.

Total Time: 4 Hours

We have made a point not to provide you with every single detail for these experiences. For us, it's the details that make these incredible experiences special. We're excited to share these with you on your trip with us.

MASSAGE

"What a treat! My massage set the tone for the weekend. I felt so relaxed.
The entire experience was beyond pleasurable! Thank you!"

One evening during your trip, a local Professional Masseuse will be brought in to provide a massage for the entire group.

S&P brings a complete Concierge Service to you along with your own Private Host / Chef on your trip. They handle everything so you don't have to. Travel like a billionaire lives everyday.

THE BEST TIME TO VISIT

These dates below are the prime time to be in valley chosen around "Crush", for the time wineries are harvesting their grapes. It's most definitely the best time to visit the valley with the aromas that fill the entire valley. Seeing the hustle and bustle of "Crush" is something special, an experience that will always keep your heart connected to that year's vintage.

MONTHCRUSH VARIETALSNOTES
September Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir   September is still warm with the direct sun and is a gorgeous time to be in Willamette Valley.  The harvest is beginning
October
Pinot Noir
For us, October is our most favorite time in the valley.  The evenings are cool with an abundance of grape picking activity through-out the valley.  The fragurance of freshly picked grapes fill the air day and night.
