A LONG WEEKEND IN WINE COUNTRY
Napa Valley is an extraordinary experience. One of the finest wine valleys nestled about an hour northwest of San Francisco. After your trip you may find yourself wanting to move here. It's that good! There are so many layers to Napa Valley, like the people, the culture, the laid-back lifestyle, incredible food, gorgeous landscape, and great scents that fill the valley. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to peel back those layers and to truly experience the valley to its fullest.
Whether you choose to fly by a private chartered plane or a commercial flight, we'll greet you to gather your baggage and drive you to your luxury accommodations.
We like to provide either a black or white Chevrolet suburban or even two depending on the size of the party.
S&P will take care of all your transportation needs. We'll do so much more than just opening the door for you.
Imagine waking up to the wonderful scents of breakfast and fresh brewed coffee without lifting a finger. It's always special to casually gather around the table in the morning to recap the previous day and to discuss the plans of the day ahead.

"The best wines are the ones we drink with Family & Friends"
You can't visit Napa Valley without tasting some of the finest wines in the world. There are so many levels of not only wine, but also experiences. We'll find the right level for you and your Family & Friends. Through the years, we have worked to uncover those rich layers that the valley has to offer.
You will experience some of our favorite Winery and Vineyard Tours, Crush and of course, Tastings. Most of the wines produced in the Napa Valley never leave the valley. These are wines you won't find in your local wine shop. We like to focus on small lots of wines made from up and coming winemakers.
You will see some of the most beautiful wineries, both classic to ultra contemporary. You will see wineries that are large and those that are small but plentiful. Over the years, we have established relationships with these wineries in order to not only showcase their craft, but also to make your experience rich and full.
There will certainly be wines that you fall in love with and will be able to purchase directly from the wineries. We will take care of all those details and get your wines shipped directly to your home.
“Cooking is a caring and nurturing act. It’s the ultimate gift for someone to cook for them. It creates all this beautiful stuff, conversation, appreciation. All the most important things in life you do around a dinner table.” -Curtis Stone
The food is a big part of any travel experience. We like to dive into the local ingredients and buy organic, using the best ingredients possible. As a Chef, the goal is to marry particular ingredients together and get the heck out of the way. We let those flavors shine by keeping it simple!
It is always fun to travel and visit some of the great local restaurants. At the same time, it is draining to have every meal out. We look to balance that for you, giving you the best of both worlds.
Each morning, we'll have a delightful breakfast ready for you on your waking schedule. For lunch, you'll be on the go in the valley. There are some great spots to take a break for a bite to eat. After a long day, it's nice to shut it down back at the house. Those nights, dinner will be prepared by your private chef. We like to keep it fun with family style preparations and great flavor combinations. Whether that is served at the outside table or the dining room table, those evenings are always special, full of Food, Family/Friends, Stories, and Laughter. The best part is that you and your party do not need to do anything other than just enjoy each others company.
We certainly can accommodate any dietary restrictions that anyone in your party requires - it's not a problem!
We adore the different restaurants the valley has to offer and know them well. One evening during your trip, you will be able to enjoy that experience. We'll arrange all the details and drive you there and back. We will take care of all the coordination with the restaurant for you, including settling the bill.
Experiences come in many forms. Most of them can be orchestrated, but some spontaneously happen when surrounded by the right people.
We believe in both!
In addition to visiting the incredible wineries, there are many ways to experience Napa Valley. Over the years, we have narrowed down the very best experiences and have established relationships with the locals who provide these unforgettable experiences. We are excited to share them with you.
During a long weekend trip to Napa, we have found it's nice to add in one (1) experience during that time to break up the schedule. Here are three great ways to see the valley from a different perspective.
HIKING FOR THE VALLEY VIEWS
Lace up your shoes and see the valley from a new perspective.
After a delightful breakfast at the house, we'll head to the base of the mountain to start the trek. Some parts of the hike can be rigorous, but it's a lovely hike. It only takes an hour to reach the top where we'll celebrate by opening a bottle of sparkling wine and toasting to the beautiful scenery with your family and friends. It is a sight you will always remember.
The way down is much easier. This hike is a great way to start the day.
Total Time: 2.5 Hours
HOT AIR BALLOONING
Soaring over the vineyards during the a crisp morning is one of the best ways to see Napa Valley.
You'll wake up early to meet the captain and help fill the Hot Air Balloon up for the trip. We'll get your entire party in the basket of one balloon so you can all experience it together. The Balloon can hold up to 12.
It starts out cool, like most Napa mornings do, but once that sun comes up, it warms up nicely and casts rays down the valley for the most gorgeous views of the never ending rows of grapes on the valley floor.
Once landed, a quaint breakfast will be offered as everyone recaps the experience.
Total Time: 3 Hours
BIKE TOUR WITH THE VINEYARDS
Biking down Silverado Trail first thing in the morning is quite the treat and is a great way to start the day.
To beat the valley heat, the guided tour will begin early in the morning, starting from the house. The bikes will be prepped and ready to go for the trip. Everything that you will need will be provided.
Riding along side of all the vineyards gives a slower perspective than a car and you will always stumble onto something unexpected.
It is a 20 mile ride that finishes where you began, at the house. Once you return, a spread of breakfast delights will be ready for you.
Total Time: 4 Hours
We have made a point not to provide you with every single detail for these experiences. For us, it's the details that make these incredible experiences special. We're excited to share these with you on your trip with us.
"What a treat! My massage set the tone for the weekend. I felt so relaxed.
The entire experience was beyond pleasurable! Thank you!"
One evening during your trip, a local Professional Masseuse will be brought in to provide a massage for the entire group.
Along with your own Private Host / Chef , S&P brings a complete Concierge Service on your trip. They handle everything so you don't have to. Travel like a billionaire lives.
These dates below are the prime time to be in valley chosen around "Crush", for the time wineries are harvesting their grapes. It's most definitely the best time to visit the valley with the aromas that fill the entire valley. Seeing the hustle and bustle of "Crush" is something special, an experience that will always keep your heart connected to that year's vintage.
|August||Sparkling Wine (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay)||August is still very hot in the valley. Although harvest is beginning, its not the best time to visit the valley.|
|September||Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Sangiovese||The month of September is where "crush"/harvest really kicks-off. The aromas start to fill the valley. With the weekends become busy with those coming-up from the city. Visiting the valley during the week is best, but still so fun on the weekends. |
|October||Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon||Our favorite month to go to the valley is October. The aromas absolutely have filled the valley when you wake-up in the cool mornings. The premiere wineries are harvesting their rich cabernet sauvignon grapes for their future bottlings.|
